WRITER & DIRECTOR - Kenny Loggins Pitch Videos

I wrote and directed this for Landline TV. The last song in the video gets stuck in my head quite often.

DIRECTOR & WRITER - Thankful for Terrible Things

Happy Thanksgiving. A few days late.

I wrote and directed this for my final show with UCB Theatre's Slow Burn.

Here is a morbid one... in honor of Halloween.

Shooting through the Plexiglas was a pain, but the shot looks pretty sweet.

I shot this. Sarah Yorra directed. Chris Wilkes wrote. This is a UCB Comedy Original.

I wrote this for my UCB Theatre Maude team.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY - Ominous Music Heard Throughout U.S. Sends Nation Into Panic

I shot a bunch of the field footage for this ONN video. It took forever to get that little kid to look up in the air.

I love this video. I wish every video I worked on was this good and as fun to make.

Let's also review the cast and crew. Ellie Kemper is now a regular on The Office. Sean Clements now writes for MTV's new sketch show Popzilla. Donald Glover co-stars in Community on NBC. Curtis Gwinn and Neil Casey had a great series on Adult Swim.

Who will be the next break out? It's either me or Will Hines.

THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK. And, depending on how conservative your home life is, this may not be safe for your home.

REVEL IN has launched their website. I edited a few videos for these guys. Nice people and cool documentaries.

In honor of the season premiere of Mad Men I present Meshugene Men.

I shot and edited this promo for the Purim show, "The Shushan Channel" at 92Y Tribeca.

Features a couple famous (or soon to be famous) people like Amy Sedaris, Ellie Kemper (The Office), DC Pierson (Derrick Comedy), and others. Written by Sheryl Zohn and Rob Kutner of The Daily Show.

Mitch Magee directed. He's funny.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY - Google Opt Out Feature Lets Users Protect Privacy By Moving To Remote Village

Shot all of the "on site" bits of this one.

The place where we shot this had a secret office. You opened a door and it looked like a closet filled with old coats. But when you pushed the coats to the side you could enter a cozy little conference room.

I shot this for UCB Comedy Originals.

I ate a slice of the pizza and ended up pulling a long grey wig hair from my mouth. It was gross, but I was hungry.

As a side note, I'll never shoot green screen in SD again. It has to be HD. The green (especially around the wigs) was impossible to key out in SD. I've shot green screen in HD and it is SO much easier to deal with in post and looks way better.

Written by Gil Ozeri and Gavin Speiller. Directed by Mitch Magee. Shot by Todd Bieber. Edited by Nate Dern. Visual Effects by Ed Mundy. Plus it's got an all star cast of very talented comedians.

This was the first thing I edited for GOOD Magazine. I think it turned out pretty well. It also features one of my favorite bands 31 Knots.

I did some minor shooting on this one. Just the golf course footage.

If anyone is ever going Urban Golfing in New York City, please invite me along.

Domino's introduces it's new "crust stuffed crust" THE BREAD ZONE.

A few years ago I did a commercial for a local Domino's franchise in my hometown (Central Pennsylvania). The owner stiffed me $350.00. This is the closest I will come to payback.

I edited this video for The Onion's "China Takeover" series.

I had a lot of experience editing terrible promotional videos so this was no stretch for me.

DIRECTOR & WRITER - American Apparel: Everyday Sexy

I wrote and directed this for UCB Comedy Originals.

This got a lot of buzz last week. Gawker, Huffinton Post, New York Magazine, Gothamist, Comedy Central, and a slew of other blogs picked it up. Nate Dern even got a nice interview in Heeb Magazine about it.

I owe a lot to Nate who stars as Dov Charney AND edited this. He's a very talented dude.

Starring Nate Dern, Will Hines, Pam Murphy, Emily Axford, and Will Storie. Produced by Will Hines and Anthony King. Edited by Nate Dern. Crew by Carmen Angelica and Mitch Magee. Music by Night Train to Terror.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY, FOOTAGE COORDINATOR - Obama Drastically Scales Back Goals For America After Visiting Denny's

I shot the customer and waitress interviews as well as the exterior of Denny's.

Watching one of these go from script to final cut is really interesting. I remember getting the script a few months ago, and it said "FOOTAGE NEED: Obama shaking hands with fat slobs in a Denny's. Obama looks depressed." (or something along those lines.) It was surprisingly easy to find.

Directed by Will Hines. Written by Sean Clements. Starring Sean and John Murray.

I could write a book on the experience of making this feature length movie. I spent several years of my life working on it. (While maintaining a steady income through other endeavors.)

It showed in a few film festivals. Won a handful of awards. And got some really nice reviews. [1] [2] [3]

Here is a piece I edited for GOOD Magazine a while back.

I wish there were more journalists like Lara Logan.

ACTOR - Masks of Terror

This is a delightfully weird animation that my friend Manolo made. I played the role of Osama Bin Ladin. It was featured on the the now canceled VH1 website/show Acceptable TV.

FOOTAGE COORDINATOR - Pentagon Reports Army Mascot 'Liberty' Killed in Iraq

This was one of the first things I helped with when I started at The Onion News Network back in December '08. I had to look through so many horrific videos and stills of the Iraq War to find all of these backgrounds.

After a while I became numb to it. I'm just thinking: "Too much color, not enough carnage." or "This shot would be great if they held the camera steady instead of running away from the sniper fire." or "It would be better if there was a dead body, and a Iraqi civilian crying." Then I take a long shower... and remember the only way I can deal with the awfulness of this situation (the war, not my job) is to make fun of it.

The next week I had to look through hours and hours of hardcore pornography.

First this is NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

It's a Star Trek week.

This is a series that Chris Gethard and I did for our video sketch group Nuclear Palm. Some people think it's hilarious. Others are just disturbed. Either way it's really gross.

We found REAL erotic fan fiction and then Chris reads it dramatically. Personally I think it's insanely funny that people actually write this stuff and I love watching Chris bring it to life.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY & FOOTAGE COORDINATOR - Trekkies Bash New Star Trek Film As 'Fun, Watchable'

I think this is very funny. Plus this is the first video released by The Onion where I was Director of Photography of a few bits (the trekkies). I'm also proud that I found that Shatner vs. a Gorn fight scene.

EDITOR & DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY (along with some other talented people)- Military Robots Part 5 - Legs with Brains

A while ago I did some freelance editing and shooting at GOOD Magazine. I really enjoyed their philosophy. (for example, you can pay for your subscription on a sliding scale)

About this video: "Some 30,000 men and women have lost limbs over the course of the conflict in Iraq, and the latest in prosthetic technology is helping them readjust to normal life." Take a look. It's actually sort of fun and uplifting, despite the heavy subject.

For this piece I compiled a lot of the footage, edited the first cut, shot some b-roll and shot the interview with the Iraqi War vet. I think it came out pretty sweet and I especially like what they did with the animation.

This is a funny one written by Caitlin Tegart. Directed by Nick “Awkward Boy” Paley. Starring Scott Coulander, Emily Strachan, Ben Rodgers, Craig Rowin, and Rory Panagotopulos. Produced by Will Hines and Anthony King. Originally preformed live by Stone Cold Fox at UCB Theater's Maude Night. I edited and shot it.

I got a very bad sunburn while shooting this. There was also a weird man who wouldn't get out of the empty lot/background of our shot. He scaled the fence and just lingered back there. Luckily we were able to shoot and edit around him.

EDITOR - Emily's Feet

I edited this for Revel In a few months ago. I thought it was the closest thing to porn that I would ever edit. Little did I know the next project they had in store for me was even more risque... May not be safe for work.

DIRECTOR & DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY - Emergency Meeting at Cadbury Eggs

I directed and shot this for UCB Comedy Originals. It ended up on the front page of YouTube on Easter Sunday which gave it a ton of hits and many ridiculous comments. Written by Sean Clements. Edited by Nate Dern. Starring Curtis Gwinn, Sean Clements, D’arcy Erokan. Produced by Will Hines and Anthony King.
